The eLearning is the first step in becoming an Open Water Diver.
PADI eLearning makes it easy to fit scuba lessons into a busy schedule. Learn about scuba diving principles and terminology whenever, wherever it's convenient for you.
It's your course on your time.
Study offline, or online using a computer or mobile device. Connect with your instructor whenever you have a question.
Time Commitment: 8-10 hours
Confined Water
Confined water is the second step of your Open Water Diver certification. With your instructor in a confined and safe environment, you'll learn the scuba diving fundamentals before diving into open water.
Confined Water training includes 5 mini dives that you progressively gain experience and confidence where the focus is mastering the required skills.

Open Water Dives
Open Water is the third and final step of your Open Water Diver certification.
With your instructor, in an open water environment such as ocean, lake or quarry you will put your confined water training into practice with the guidance of your instructor and certified assistants.
The Open Water Diver certification qualifies you to dive independently (with a buddy) to a depth of
- Up to 18 meters / 60 feet (for adults) -
- Up to 12 meters / 40 feet (for juniors) -
